Oh Toronto

Today is the "anniversary" so I felt like I should post some photos from last summer. Took a while to get the negatives.

I miss Toronto and my friends there. I want to eat panzerotti in Little Italy and ice cream from The Big Chill. Then I'd take the streetcar all the way down on College Street receiving a nice spring breeze through the open window and just enjoying the view. And later at night I'd get drunk on the patio.

Internship

I'm doing an internship this week in a well-known German publishing house for several weekly, bi-weekly and monthly magazines. Besides having the possibility to get an insight in the work in such a big company and learning about different programs for editorial and layout, I can use a mac here and work with PS CS5, which is awesome. I think I'll never be able to work without a graphic tablet again after this. Here are some photos I have edited this week:

1.) Nathalie with awesome glasses on
2.) Toronto TTC streetcar
3.) Christmas in Cologne
4.) self-explanatory, right? haha

Creative Impulse

Sort of starting to clear my mind even though it's not easy to do here.
I hope I will soon be able to take up a camera again as I feel like my impulse is been gone for too long.
It feels terrible when you want to do something so badly and you know you are able to do it but all you can do is starring and being lost. Theoratically, you have the whole idea but practically you are petrified.

Nevertheless luckily usually I'm quiet productive and those two photos are from my east coast trip.
Random rainbow colours in the sky are eyecatching too, no?

La campagne

Spending two days with a friend on the countryside is probably
the most relaxing thing you can do.

No look at your phone or facebook, only knowing what's happening right there and then. Breathing fresh air and the feeling of a remote place.

Learning about the local culture and having a night out with traditional music was a great experience.
Now I know that you can use maple syrup on more than your pancakes and I enriched my vocabulaire québecoise.
The first snow fell in the lower area of the province and this was probably my highlight.

Merci beaucoup à Mathieu et sa famille et amis!

Some pictures I've found from last year and wanted to share with you. The pictures were taken basically everywhere I've been last year. Germany, Austria, Canada, Finland...

Je me souviens.

Montréal was great. We saw awesome bands at the Osheaga Festival and still had enough time to wander around and enjoy Montréal.
