This is my summer in photos. What happened from my point of view in this world in the meanwhile:

- Germany has won the football world cup for the fourth time in history

- Cornelius Gurlitt died, passing most of the artworks stolen by his father in Nazi time to the Museum of Fine Arts Bern, Switzerland

- There's still no solution for the conflict in the Ukraine

- Gaza and Israel is a seemingly endless problem

- The laureate of the Novel Peace Prize 2009 has decided to send troops to Irak

- Scotland could be able to declare independence tomorrow

Munich (Black/White)

A few photos I shot in my city on a black and white Ilford ISO 400 film when enjoying late fall and the beginning of Christmas time.

I wish everybody a happy new year!

Theatron with Flowerstreet Records - August 14th/15th

Thursday was a holiday here in Bavaria so I was able to enjoy two great days at Theatron, a stage in the Olympic Park where some great Munich bands were playing.
The whole thing was for free and organised by Flowerstreet Records, a Munich-based record label.
Bands in the pictures: Elektrik Kezy Mezy, Stray Colors and Tuó.

And now a song to enjoy:

Carefree minds on a sunny day.

Germany is hit by a heat wave and I'm walking around the town with no clue but I don't mind. As the heat was anywhere, indoor and outdoor, I was happy to finally get to see the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich and look at different students' contributions that where shown during the annual exhibition.

Taking a walk with my friend and her daughter in the park on a finally sunny day.
Taking pictures of children is so much fun. They act so natural at any situation which makes it easy to capture their emotions and they have no worries about the fact that there's a camera as compared to grown-ups. They don't worry about how the picture is going to turn out. That's why they turn out pure in my opinion.

The last few weeks had been a bit busy. Moved into a new apartment, working more hours and some other things. Seems like you can never get a time off just to breathe for a moment.
But in two weeks I've got a week of vacation. God bless paid vacations!

Lenbachhaus

1.) Neon lights installation by Cerith Wyn Evans
2.) Franz Marc's Blaues Pferd
3.) New Lenbachhaus

Things I love: The Blue Rider and neon lights. Both you can find in the Lenbachhaus (one of Munich's art museums) which has just reopened.

"En s'éveillant, elle a couru à son sabot. Elle y a trouvé la pièce d'or. Elle ne sait pas ce que c'est qu'une pièce d'or. Elle n'en a jamais vu. Elle la cache bien vite dans sa poche comme si elle l'avait volée. Cependant elle sent que cela est bien à elle. Elle sait au fond du cœur d'où cela vient." Cosette, page 44.

I'd like to point out to my new little project: Polaroids by Carlos
I'm going to post Polaroids here from time to time :) old and new ones taken by me!

So here we are, it's already March 1st. Can't believe that time has passed by so quickly in Munich and I think I'm slowly getting back to Bavarian life! (with no Lederhose though)

I feel like I wasn't really productive these days and only managed to take my camera out a few times. I want to shoot film again soon! Somebody buy me a few rolls of film? :)
