Québec City

Before heading to the east coast I went to Québec City.
It's a small but really charming city built around a hill kind of and on top of it is "le château Frontenac", Castle Frontenac
Québec City's architecture is really European and it feels a bit like European ground in Canada I find!

Thanks to Juliane I got an awesome tour around the city where we also went to visit a German christmas market. Home sweet home in Québec! We also went to a micro-brewery which is really common in Québec it seems. There is many bars in Montréal with their own little breweries and so there is in Québec City.

La campagne

Spending two days with a friend on the countryside is probably
the most relaxing thing you can do.

No look at your phone or facebook, only knowing what's happening right there and then. Breathing fresh air and the feeling of a remote place.

Learning about the local culture and having a night out with traditional music was a great experience.
Now I know that you can use maple syrup on more than your pancakes and I enriched my vocabulaire québecoise.
The first snow fell in the lower area of the province and this was probably my highlight.

Merci beaucoup à Mathieu et sa famille et amis!
